My Mission this semester - (The Ultimate team)
I felt that even though I got fairly involved with the activities and opportunities around trinity campus last semester, there was always something more that I could be doing. Whether it is playing an intramural sport, joining a club, or even a study group for a particularly difficult class, I feel that it is my job to explore Trinity to its fullest potential.
Last semester the only activity or student group I was really involved in was the ultimate team. For those of you who do not know what ultimate is it’s basically the frisbee team. However we don’t like to use the word frisbee when talking about our team. You may not know but I did play Ultimate in high school so that fueled my interest in pursuing it here at Trinity. Non-believers may scoff at this underappreciated sport, but let me just say that we do not mess around on the ultimate team. Our workouts are intense and the level of skill and commitment required to keep up with the fast pace of this game is astronomical.
Here is a bit of advice for anyone who wants some. If you are looking for a fun new sport to play that’s physically challenging but exciting nonetheless, try Ultimate. You wont regret it.
While there is no doubt that I will continue with the ultimate team, I want to explore other things around the school. If someone comes up to me and introduces me to a new activity or tells me about a club, I will give it a try. I may not like it but I will give it a shot.
